T.J. Connolly, Tesla’s Charging Program Manager & Business Development Lead for North America, accepted the invitation to return to the team just two weeks after the mass layoff. In a heartfelt LinkedIn post, Connolly reflected on his initial motivation for joining Tesla in 2018 – to the world a better place for future generations and be part of a mission that inspires others.

Connolly expressed gratitude for the support he received from partners in commercial & multifamily real estate, EV charging installation, and distribution during the uncertain period. He reaffirmed his commitment to the mission, stating, “I return for my valued partners. I return to finish what I started with my amazing teammates. I return to continue to make the world a better place for my (now 3) children.”

Tesla’s Leadership in the EV Charging Industry

Despite the recent upheaval, Connolly remains confident in Tesla’s ability to lead and inspire within the EV charging industry. He assured partners and supporters that “Tesla will continue to lead and inspire, while providing the best customer experience, with our best in class products and support.”

Connolly will work alongside Max de Zegher, George Bahadue, and other team members to shape the future of Tesla’s Wall Connector and Supercharger programs while fostering long-lasting relationships with industry leaders in real estate and charging.
