Tesla Launches Bold Year-End Push with Free Supercharging and FSD Trial Offer

According to insider and industry analyst Sawyer Merritt, Tesla is making an aggressive move to boost year-end deliveries by offering three months of complimentary Supercharging and (Supervised) access for new vehicle orders in North America.

Promotion Details

The limited-time incentive applies to new inventory orders of S3XY vehicles and the delivered between November 14 and December 31, 2024. The promotion includes three months of free access to both Tesla’s Supercharging network and the Full Self-Driving (Supervised) capability.

Key Terms and Conditions

Important restrictions apply to this offer:

  • Limited to new inventory vehicles only
  • Business orders are excluded
  • Used vehicles do not qualify
  • The offer cannot be postponed or transferred
  • No alternative options available for FSD purchasers

Strategic Timing

This end-of-year promotion comes at a crucial time for Tesla, as the company aims to maintain its delivery momentum through the fourth quarter. The inclusion of Cybertruck in the eligible vehicle list is particularly noteworthy, as it represents one of Tesla’s most anticipated launches.

Value Proposition

The combined value of free Supercharging and FSD trial represents a significant incentive for potential buyers. The Full Self-Driving feature, typically available as a premium subscription, provides access to Tesla’s advanced driver assistance capabilities.

EVXL’s Take

This strategic move by Tesla follows a pattern of end-of-year delivery pushes, but the inclusion of FSD trials marks a new approach. As covered in our recent Tesla analysis, the company continues to innovate in its marketing strategies while maintaining focus on its core technology advantages. The promotion could serve as an effective way to showcase Tesla’s superiority while introducing more customers to their FSD technology.
