According to a recent announcement by the government-owned Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Group, Tesla has inked a leasing deal to open an expansive service center in Xin Park, a budding industrial area.

With a sprawling size of 861,000 square feet, or 8,000 square meters, this establishment is set to be Tesla's most ambitious project in . The store is slated to throw open its doors in mid-2024, as revealed by the Chinese company's official Wechat statement.

But why this grand move, you ask? As the world's premier electric car manufacturer, Tesla operates nearly 300 stores across China. However, as per Reuters, Tesla's strategy seems to be shifting. They're eyeing locations that aren't just sales-centric but also service-oriented.
