Strategic Partnership Aims for 2027 Launch

The collaboration, unveiled in Palo Alto, California, will leverage Rivian’s expertise in software and EV technology across VW’s brand portfolio. VW Group CEO Oliver Blume confirmed the rollout will begin with Volkswagen vehicles before expanding to Audi, Scout, Porsche, and other brands.

Software Development Takes Center Stage

VW has struggled with its in-house software development arm CARIAD, which has caused significant delays in new EV launches for premium brands like Audi and Porsche.
