Volvo Amplifies Electric Truck Production in Ghent

Volvo, the Swedish auto giant, is making waves again. But this time, it’s in the electric vehicle realm.

Expanding Electric Operations

Volvo is set to kick-start the serial production of heavy-duty electric trucks in its Ghent factory in Belgium, according to a recent Reuters report. With a whopping yearly capacity of around 45,000 trucks, Ghent stands as Volvo’s largest truck production hub.

“The factory in Ghent will be building three of its different models – the Volvo FH, the Volvo FM and the Volvo FMX Electric,” the company announced.

As Volvo opens its third electric truck factory in Europe, it’s clear: the electric revolution is charging forward at full speed.
