Volvo, the Swedish auto giant, is making waves again. But this time, it’s in the electric vehicle realm.
Expanding Electric Operations
Volvo is set to kick-start the serial production of heavy-duty electric trucks in its Ghent factory in Belgium, according to a recent Reuters report. With a whopping yearly capacity of around 45,000 trucks, Ghent stands as Volvo‘s largest truck production hub.
“The factory in Ghent will be building three of its different models – the Volvo FH, the Volvo FM and the Volvo FMX Electric,” the company announced.
As Volvo opens its third electric truck factory in Europe, it’s clear: the electric revolution is charging forward at full speed.
