While looking for a winter escape in Cabo San Lucas, an unexpected roadblock greeted Mario, a dedicated reader of Autopian. In a surprising twist, he found himself blocked in a hotel parking lot by not one, but multiple Tesla Cybertruck release candidates.

As Mario humorously recalled, “Funny thing, they blocked me in so I couldn’t leave this morning. But when your rental car is a base model Kia… your man card doesn’t allow you to say ‘excuse me, can you move your Cybertrucks, I have places to be.'”
Included in the unexpected lineup were two Tesla Cybertrucks tagged as “Release Candidates” and a distinctive white support vehicle. This Mexican appearance followed a video Tesla recently showcased, detailing a 1,000-mile journey to Cabo San Lucas with these very Cybertrucks.
Yet, what piqued Mario’s interest wasn’t just the Cybertrucks’ presence. Having frequently visited the area, he noted the lack of Tesla models. The reason? Perhaps the scarcity of EV charging stations along the route. However, during this visit, he spotted three Tesla charging stations at his hotel.
Thanks to Mario’s keen observation and quick camera skills, the auto world got a sneak peek into the Cybertruck’s adventures. As EVs become increasingly popular, who knows where they’ll show up next?
