Ahead of the all-electric Battista hyper-GT launch later this year, Automobili Pininfarina added two new retail locations in North America.
Two new locations prior to Battista hyper-GT launch
The two new retail locations, that the Italian luxury carmaker added are meant to cover Orange County, California, and Chicago, Illinois. The two new locations bring the total number of retail locations in North America up to nine.
The initial launch of the all-electric Battista hyper-GT will take place in Italy early this year. The first cars are expected to be in the hands of lucky, and undoubtedly wealthy, customers later this year.
The two new locations in North America are:
- Newport Beach Automotive Group in Orange County
- Lake Forest Sportscars in Chicago
The Battista Anniversario made its first appearance during the famous Monterey Car Week, in the summer of 2021. All five example cars were sold during the event, underscoring the interest in super-exclusive, all-electric hypercars.
In total, the launch of the Battista hyper-GT will be supported by 25 retail locations around the world, six of which are located in the Middle East and Asia, ten in Europe, and nine in North America.
“I am delighted to announce the expansion of our retail partner network in North America, with the appointment of two new partners in strategically important locations,” said Per Svantesson, Chief Executive Officer, Automobili Pininfarina. “California is home to many of our existing and future clients, with many already pioneering the adoption of pure-electric, zero-emission cars of all kinds. Battista now sets a new benchmark for the desirability and performance offered by an electric car. With our new partner location in Chicago, we have established an important brand presence between the US east and west coasts. We are excited for clients to experience our brand across our network as we prepare to begin deliveries of the incredible Battista hyper-GT this year.”
Battista hyper-GT is in final DEVELOPMENT stage
Automobili Pininfarina informs us that the Battista hyper-GT is in the final stages of development and will be the most powerful Italian car ever made.
The exclusive car can be fully specced according to the wishes of its new owner with a total of 128 million interior combinations alone. The first client deliveries are set to start in the first half of this year.
Over the air support
The Battista hyper-GT will receive both software updates and hardware support over-the-air, as a specialized mechanic will be flown in when needed to provide in-person technical support and knowledge.
In preparation for the Battista hyper-GT launch, Automobili Pininfarina also established its legal entity – Automobili Pininfarina Americas (APA).
Faster than a Formula 1 car
The all-electric Battista hyper-GT will be faster than a current Formula 1 race car in its 0 -100 km/h sub-two second sprint, and with 1,900 hp and 2,360 Nm torque on tap. A 120 kWh battery pack will provide power to four electric motors, one at each wheel. The WLTP range should be 310 miles but will vary based on driving style and weather conditions.
The Battista hyper-GT will be limited to no more than 150 examples, individually hand-crafted at the Pininfarina SpA atelier in Cambiano, Italy.
Here are two more photos to drool over. The design is quite amazing in our opinion. Let us know what you think about the Battista hyper-GT in the comments below.
