EVXL’s Take

Tesla’s bold move to showcase the Semi at IAA Hannover signals a significant push into the European commercial vehicle market. This aligns with the growing trend of electrification in the trucking industry, which we’ve been closely following at EVXL.

As we’ve seen in our coverage of Tesla’s electric vehicle developments, the company continues to break new ground in various segments of the EV market. The Semi’s European debut, coupled with real-world testing through partnerships like the one with PepsiCo, could accelerate the adoption of electric semi-trucks in long-haul transportation. It’ll be interesting to see how this move impacts other manufacturers and potentially reshapes the commercial vehicle landscape in Europe.

  1. I’d like evxl to write an article summarizing the results of last Fall’s US independent industry trucking industry test, “Run On Less”. Tesla was one of the largest class trucks and: near-500 miles with 81K lbs, thousand-mile day, charging 2-4 times faster than the other trucks in it’s class.

    • We’d love to cover any current news or future Run On Less events. We will definitely keep our eyes and ears open for the fall of 2025 when they are planning their fifth event! Thanks for commenting!
