The Cadillac Optiq enters the market with a starting price of $59,990, which drops to $52,490 after applying the federal EV credit. For those seeking top-tier features, the highest trim level is priced at $72,390, or $64,890 post-credit.
Performance and Features
GM’s new electric Cadillac boasts an estimated range of up to 300 miles on a single charge. The vehicle is equipped with an 85kWh battery and supports a maximum charging speed of 150 kW.

Luxury and Technology
Inside, the Optiq showcases luxury with a 33-inch diagonal LED display and a 19-speaker sound system featuring Dolby Atmos. The vehicle’s ambient lighting system offers 126 color options across two zones, enhancing the interior atmosphere.
Advanced Driver Assistance
GM has included its “Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance” technology in the Optiq, signaling a push towards more autonomous driving features in their EV lineup.
Market Availability
Deliveries of the Cadillac Optiq are scheduled to begin in Fall 2024, giving potential buyers time to consider this new entry in the luxury EV market.
EVXL’s Take
The introduction of the Cadillac Optiq represents GM’s continued commitment to electrification, particularly in the luxury segment. This move aligns with the broader industry trend towards premium electric vehicles, as we’ve seen with recent launches from other manufacturers. The Optiq’s competitive pricing and feature set could potentially challenge established players in the market.
