Tesla Frenzy: Stackable Discounts and Freebies Racing Against Sept 30 EV Tax Cutoff

Drama in the EV world: Tesla unleashes record perks to beat the Sept 30 deadline – is this your sign to buy?

Tesla has introduced an extensive array of discounts, financing options, and perks for its electric vehicle lineup in the United States, aiming to drive sales before key federal incentives expire on September 30, 2025. This move includes stackable offers across models, potentially lowering costs for buyers, as reported by 索耶-梅里特.

Model-Specific Discounts and Upgrades

Buyers can access up to 4.5% off, or $2,000, on brand new Model Y inventory. This raises questions about inventory management, as Tesla pushes existing stock. Building on that, one free upgrade applies to eligible new inventory, limited to on-site supplies, with the price already reflecting the deduction.

For the Model 3, discounts reach up to 4.7%, or $2,000, on brand new inventory. All paint colors now come free on Model 3 Performance orders, ensuring any configuration qualifies for the $7,500 federal EV credit before its September 30 end. This adjustment broadens eligibility, benefiting buyers who prefer custom options.

The Model X offers up to 9.5% off, about $8,300, on brand new 2025 model year vehicles in inventory. Such reductions could stimulate demand for higher-end SUVs amid economic pressures.

Cybertruck buyers receive a free 20” Cyber Wheel Upgrade with All-Terrain Tires, valued at $3,500, for inventory lease orders only. This enhances off-road capabilities without extra cost, appealing to adventure-focused owners.

Model S and Model X both include one free upgrade—the highest-priced exterior or interior option—when purchasing Full Self-Driving (Supervised). This ties incentives to advanced autonomy features, potentially accelerating adoption.

Financing and Leasing Options

Tesla provides 3.49% APR on Model Y loans up to 60 months. Leases start at $349 per month. For the Model 3, 0% APR for up to 60 months requires Full Self-Driving (Supervised) purchase; otherwise, it’s 2.49%. Leases begin at $299 per month for RWD with $3,000 down on 24-month terms, or $699 for Performance.

Cybertruck financing offers 0% APR for deliveries by September 30 with Full Self-Driving transfer from an existing Tesla, or with Full Self-Driving (Supervised) purchase. Without it, rates are 2.49%. These low rates could ease the economic burden of high initial costs, especially as interest rates fluctuate.

On top of model-specific terms, a $7,500 federal EV credit applies to eligible vehicles, and a $7,500 lease incentive covers every Tesla. Both end permanently on September 30, creating urgency. Most incentives stack, amplifying savings.

Charging and Connectivity Perks

New incentives grant one year of free Supercharging for Cybertruck inventory orders, and for Model S and Model X inventory vehicles from model year 2025 or earlier. Model 3 buyers get 18 months of free Supercharging for cash or third-party financing purchases. These benefits reduce operational costs, as Supercharging supports long-distance travel.

All models include a free one-month trial of Full Self-Driving (Supervised). Cybertruck, Model S, and Model X add a free one-year trial of Premium Connectivity, enhancing in-car entertainment and navigation.

Targeted Discounts for Specific Groups

American military members, first responders, teachers, and students receive $1,000 off across all models. The Lyft Driver Purchase Program offers $1,000 Tesla Credit plus $1,000 cash from Lyft. A $250 discount applies with a referral code.

Free Full Self-Driving transfers are available for all models, preserving value for existing owners upgrading.

These incentives reflect Tesla’s strategy to boost adoption amid regulatory shifts, like the impending federal credit expiration. Buyers should verify eligibility, as some offers tie to inventory or specific purchases. This approach balances economic incentives with technological advancements in electric mobility.
