Mercedes-Benz Outlines Its Vision for the Future of Electric Vehicles
最近,在慕尼黑车展上接受采访时,德国汽车公司首席执行官奥拉-凯勒纽斯(Ola Kaellenius)表示 梅赛德斯-奔驰 expressed his perspective on Europe’s transition to all-electric vehicle sales. Despite the company’s aim to be ready for an all-electric lineup by 2030, Kaellenius revealed that the European market might not be fully prepared for such a transition by the set date.
引自 路透社, Kaellenius stated, “It’s not going to be 100% in 2030, obviously… from the whole European market, but probably from the Mercedes side as well.” This highlights the challenges ahead in making Europe an entirely electric vehicle-friendly continent.
While the growth in Europe’s EV market has been commendable in recent years, Mercedes-Benz understands that customer preferences and infrastructure needs play a significant role. Kaellenius emphasized that customers would “ultimately decide what product they want,” underscoring the necessity for adequate infrastructure to support the widespread adoption of EVs.
Mercedes-Benz is fully committed to the electric vision, ensuring its lineup is ready for the impending transition. Kaellenius mentioned the company’s tactical flexibility, explaining their ability to “produce electric or combustion-engine vehicles on the same production line.”
Looking towards the East, Kaellenius shared insights on China’s EV adoption. The transition in China’s premium segment would likely take “many years” due to different levels of government support. Nonetheless, he remained optimistic, asserting that the market needs to be converted “step by step.”
总之,虽然通往全电动欧洲的道路可能会遇到很多障碍,但梅赛德斯-奔驰已经做好准备,随时迎接未来的挑战。
