Dodge has officially opened orders for the 2024 Charger Daytona R/T and Scat Pack, marking the brand’s first venture into fully electric vehicles. Expected to hit the market in the fourth quarter of this year, these two-door muscle cars are naar verluidt priced at $59,595 for the R/T and $73,190 for the Scat Pack, excluding a $1,995 destination charge.

The Electric Muscle Car Revolution

Dodge is stepping into the electric vehicle (EV) arena with a bang. The 2024 Charger Daytona Scat Pack boasts impressive specs, reaching 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and running the quarter-mile in an estimated 11.5 seconds. This performance maintains Dodge’s reputation as the maker of the world’s quickest and most powerful muscle car.

Matt McAlear, Dodge brand CEO, emphasized the company’s commitment to performance, stating, “We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries, and we know our customers are driven by performance.”

Customers who place a “sold order” by October 31, 2024, will receive a special “First Call” experience, including a two-day driving session at the Radford Racing School in Chandler, Arizona, a First Call welcome kit, and custom VIP concierge service.

Ordering and Incentives

Customers interested in the new electric Charger Daytona models can place orders through dealers. Darren Jacobs, a spokesman for Stellantis, clarified that a “sold order” is a customer order placed through a dealer, with the deposit amount determined between the dealer and the customer. All orders must be confirmed by October 31, and customers must take delivery to receive the First Call experience.

In addition to the performance perks, all-electric Charger Daytona purchases include either an at-home level 2 charging station or $600 in charge credits through Stellantis’ Free2move Charge. The vehicles also qualify for the full $7,500 federal EV tax credit, making the transition to electric more affordable.

Assembly and Brand Expansion

The electric Charger Daytona is being assembled at the Windsor Assembly Plant in Canada. Stellantis, the parent company, also owns the Jeep, Ram, Chrysler, and Fiat brands, indicating a broader push towards electrification across its portfolio.
