Tesla erweitert das Supercharger-Netz in Montgomery, PA

Tesla has launched a new Supercharger station in Montgomery, Pennsylvania, featuring 12 high-speed charging ports capable of up to 250kW each. Located at Sheetz on 5676 US-15, this addition is part of Tesla’s aggressive expansion of its Supercharger network across the United States.

Nationwide Growth

As of January 2024, Tesla boasts a global network of approximately 6,000 Supercharger stations with nearly 55,000 connectors. In the U.S. alone, there are 2,234 stations with 25,156 ports, with California leading in numbers. These stations offer up to 250 kW charging, allowing vehicles to gain about 200 miles of range in just 15 minutes.

Strategic Placement and Features

Supercharger stations are placed along major highways and feature amenities like restaurants, shops, and restrooms. Tesla’s focus on convenience is evident in their strategic placement near necessities and leisure stops.

Sustainability and Accessibility

Tesla reported a 99.95% uptime for its network in 2022, all while being powered by 100% renewable energy. Plans are underway to open the Supercharger network to other electric vehicles through a mobile app and adapters by late 2024, further enhancing its accessibility.

The new Supercharger station in Montgomery is a testament to Tesla’s commitment to enhancing electric vehicle infrastructure, promising quicker charging times and more convenience for drivers. This expansion not only caters to Tesla owners but, with upcoming plans, will support the broader EV community.
