According to analyses from InsideEVs, the footage hints at 19 V4 Supercharger stalls nestled beneath solar roof canopies. Which likely means that Tesla will be harnessing clean energy from the sun and putting it directly to use charging newly made Tesla vehicles.

Electric Vehicles (EVs) are renowned for their eco-friendly nature, causing substantially less environmental harm than their gas-powered counterparts. Data from the U.S. Department of Energy reveals that a conventional gas vehicle emits a staggering 11,435 pounds of carbon annually, whereas a standard EV only produces 3,932 pounds. By utilizing on-site solar energy for EV charging, this carbon footprint could further decrease.

One commenter on InsideEVs optimistically noted, “Good. All high-speed charging stations need to have on-premises solar panels covering the charging pumps.” Echoing this sentiment, another chimed in, “Amen to that!”

Tesla’s Berlin Gigafactory, with its pioneering approach to solar energy, undoubtedly holds immense promise for the future of sustainable transportation.
