Tesla opens Supercharger network to Non-Tesla EV Drivers in France, Netherlands and Norway

Tesla expands its Non-Tesla Supercharger pilot, which was first started in November 2021, to new locations and countries. In a tweet this morning, the carmaker announced that it opens its Supercharger-Netz to EVs from other brands in both France, the Netherlands, and Norway.

France, The Netherlands and Norway added to Non-Tesla Supercharger Pilot

In an effort to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy, and to get access to some of the $7.5 billion in government funding for EV charging infrastructure as part of the Biden-Harris Electric Vehicle Charing Action Plan, Tesla is slowly opening its network of superchargers to Non-Tesla EV drivers.

Non-Tesla EV drivers can now access the Tesla Supercharger-Netz in France. the Netherlands, and Norway via the Tesla app (version 4.2.3 or higher).

Only drivers from Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Norway can participate in the non-Tesla Supercharger Pilot.

As part of the non-Tesla Supercharger Pilot, the company said that it will be closely monitoring each site for congestion and listening to customers about their experiences.

“It’s always been our ambition to open the Supercharger network to Non-Tesla EVs, and by doing so, encourage more drivers to go electric,” the carmaker said in a statement.

It is Tesla’s goal to quickly learn and expand its Supercharging network to ultimately ‘welcome both Tesla and Non-Tesla drivers at every Supercharger worldwide.’

Tesla operates more than 30,000 superchargers worldwide. You can view the location on a map here.
