Taycan Outruns Rivals with Record Lap
بورشه has made a groundbreaking achievement at the Nürburgring with its pre-series تايكان, driven by Lars Kern, who set a remarkable lap time of 7:07.55 minutes.
“I pushed as hard as I could, but that was really all I could do,” said Kern.
This performance outshines the previous record set by Kern in a Taycan Turbo S Sport sedan by a significant 26 seconds. This feat places the Taycan on par with elite electric hypercars.
Unprecedented Leap in Performance
The pre-series Taycan’s superior speed and performance were evident throughout the lap, especially at the Schwedenkreuz, where it was 25 km/h faster than the 2022 Taycan Turbo S.
By the time Kern reached the finish line near Grandstand 13, he had already surpassed his previous record in the Taycan Turbo S by over 1.3 kilometers, a testament to بورشه‘s advancements in electric vehicle technology.
The EV Sedan Lap Record Rivalry
Porsche’s achievement comes amid a heated battle with تيسلا for the electric sedan lap record at the Nürburgring. Previously, Tesla’s الطراز S Plaid held the record with a 7:25 lap time.
Porsche’s new Taycan GT model, developed with significant contributions from the Flacht GT department, boasts aggressive aerodynamics and suspension, setting a lap time two seconds slower than the Rimac Nevera and significantly faster than Tesla’s Plaid.
Porsche’s Commitment to Electric Innovation
While Porsche is yet to confirm the production intent of this “pre-series Taycan,” the car’s exceptional performance, equipped with a roll cage and racing seats for safety, signals the automaker’s commitment to leading the electric vehicle segment.
The full-lap فيديو, expected to be released in mid-March, will likely coincide with the unveiling of the production-ready version, marking a new era for electric sports cars.
